We are Rios' Pit Bull Kingdom, breeders of fine  American Pit Bull Terriers!  We hope you enjoy your visit.  Our kennel is located in Corpus Christi, Texas.  We have been breeding A.D.B.A. registered American Pit Bull Terriers for many years and our dogs are well known throughout the United States.

 Most of our American Pit Bull Terriers males reach an adult weight of approximately 65 lbs.  Once in while, we do produce males that may weigh up to 90lbs. Our females reach an adult weight of approximate 55lbs. Sometimes we produce females that reach up to 75lbs.  Our American Pit Bull Terriers posses sound temperaments and fearless, calm confident demeanors with superior intelligence.  Our dogs make excellent family pets. We do not  breed blue pit bulls! If you are looking for a blue pit bull, you will not find one on our yard but you can go to our links pages and find one at one of  our link partners!

We work diligently to breed the total package “American Pit Bull Terrier”.  Most of our dogs’ conformation features big, blocky heads and wide muscular chests.  Our dogs are very functional.  Our American Pit Bull Terriers are healthy, sound in temperament, loyal, loveable, and athletic.

This website intends to provide information about the American Pit Bull Terrier in hopes of educating the public and thus preserving the breed.  Rios' Pit Bull Kingdom has included an APBT Dictionary Page to familiarize everyone with common terms used by pit bull owners.  Rios' Pit Bull Kingdom also provides an Origin of  APBT  Page to correctly inform everyone about the history of the American Pit Bull Terrier and about some of the important Pit Bull Strains.

In our efforts to further educate everyone about the APBT, we have included a Famous Dogs Page, which includes stories of famous dogs, pit battles,  a list of Register of Merit, list of Grand Champions, and a Photo Gallery of those famous dogs.  In order to improve the image of the APBT, Rios' Pit Bull Kingdom also has created pages such as the APBT Fact and Myths Page and Positive Press Page, which include positive information and heroic stories about pit bulls.

The APBT is in danger of becoming extinct. We encourage everyone to join the Endangered Breeds Association and to get involved in fighting Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).  On our BSL Page, we have posted links to various petitions, which fight BSL. We encourage everyone to go to our BSL page and vote against BSL by clicking on each petition.  Many states are currently trying to ban pit bulls by attempting to pass BSL.  It is already illegal to own pit bulls in Ontario Canada, and in some parts of Europe and in the United States.  There are many states currently trying to enact BSL, which would make it illegal for anyone to own a pit bull.  Also, on our BSL Page, we have listed the Yahoo BSL Groups for each state.  Everyone can join a  Yahoo BSL Group by just clicking on the respective link for each state.

Rios' Pit Bull Kingdom has added a Weight Pull page to assist you with this sport.

We do not proclaim to be "real dogmen" nor do we make claims of having game dogs.  We do not game test our dogs. We do not breed our dogs for dog fighting nor do we associate with individuals  involved in dog fighting.  Our dogs' foundation bloodlines consist of CH Garner’s Chinaman, Ch Crenshaw's Jeep, CH Plumbers' Alligator, GR Ch Cate's Nigerino, Ch Adam's Zebo, Sarona's Trouble, Ch Mtn Man's Homer. Note that these game bloodlines are far back on our dogs' pedigrees.  We do not sell our dogs based on a game dog pedigree.  By line breeding these game lines, we have developed our own strain of American Pit Bull Terriers.  We have produced virtually every dog on our yard.   All of our American Pit Bull Terrier puppies are whelped indoors where they receive excellent health care and are appropriately socialized.   Our American Pit Bull Terriers are bred for weight pulling competition, protection, conformation, and companionship.  Our dogs make excellent pets! We have “High Quality” litters available at a working man’s price.  We only sell our dogs to responsible and experienced individuals. Individuals who are considering purchasing one of our puppies, must adhere to our Deposit Contract and our Sales Contract! No exceptions!

Footprints in the Sand
One night I had a dream --
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
